“Author Claims Trump Mentioned Romance with White House Assistant”

Must read

A well-known author, Michael Wolff, asserted that Donald Trump had mentioned having a romantic relationship with his 28-year-old White House assistant to associates, as per information shared with Jeffrey Epstein. Wolff’s claim was part of a draft of a book segment sent to the convicted sex offender in 2019.

The assistant in question was identified as Madeleine Westerhout, who dismissed the allegations in Wolff’s email as baseless and disconnected from reality. This email was among thousands of documents submitted to Congress by Epstein’s estate.

The draft detailed Trump’s choice to stay at the White House during the 2018 Christmas holiday rather than going to his Florida resort, Mar A Lago, where First Lady Melania Trump had already departed. However, she returned briefly to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Washington, DC.

Wolff’s edited text from his 2019 book ‘Siege’ suggested that Westerhout, Trump’s personal secretary, brought him documents and call sheets while finding him in his underwear in the White House. The draft also mentioned Trump’s apparent interest in Westerhout, with Bannon observing Trump’s admiration for her.

The narrative continued with Trump allegedly informing friends that he stayed at the White House not due to the government shutdown but because of his relationship with Westerhout. The assistant’s lawyer vehemently denied these accusations, labeling Wolff as discredited and known for spreading falsehoods.

In her own book released in 2020, “Off the Record,” Westerhout did not address any romantic involvement with the President. Trump, on the other hand, dismissed the released files as a distraction orchestrated by Democrats amidst the government shutdown dispute.

In his social media posts, Trump criticized the situation as a ploy aimed at diverting attention, emphasizing his stance on border security funding demands during the shutdown. Melania’s return from Mar a Lago for a Christmas event was also highlighted, including an incident where Trump’s Santa Claus comments to a child reportedly upset the First Lady.
