Canada’s head coach, Cindy Tye, has unveiled the lineup for the upcoming under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland next month. The team consists of 21 players, featuring three goalkeepers, five defenders, eight midfielders, and five forwards for the tournament scheduled from September 5 to 27.

In addition to the main squad, six alternates will accompany the team to Poland to aid in preparations before the commencement of the World Cup. Activities will kick off on August 23 in Lublin, Poland, followed by a move to the tournament base camp in Bielsko-Biala on August 30. The team is set to engage in a closed-door match against Spain on August 31.

Canada, one of the 24 participating nations, is placed in Group B and will open their campaign against England on September 5. Subsequently, they will face Brazil on September 8 and conclude the group stage against Tanzania on September 11.

The Canadian team secured their spot in the U-20 World Cup following their victory at the 2025 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship, marking their third regional title win.

Coach Tye expressed the team’s readiness for the upcoming challenge, stating, “Winning the CONCACAF championship was an important achievement for this group and gave us a lot of confidence, but we also know the World Cup will bring a different level of challenge. We’ll be facing some of the best teams in the world, and we want the players to embrace that challenge, compete with confidence and make the most of the opportunity to represent Canada on this stage.”

The full roster comprises three goalkeepers: Noelle Henning (Michigan State University), Madison London (Creighton University), and Khadijah Cisse (University of Kentucky); five defenders; eight midfielders; and five forwards. Additionally, the alternates include Amy Medley (Arizona State University), Victoria Rocci (University of South Alabama), Taegen Stewart (Calgary Wild), Emily Wong (North Carolina State University), Kierra Blundell (Arizona State University), and Melisa Kekic (University of Michigan).
