Recalling the horrifying episode, Claudia shared the distressing moment when Matilda’s costume caught fire from a candle while out trick-or-treating, leaving her with life-altering burns. Despite the traumatic event, Claudia emphasizes that while it was a significant change, it did not define their lives.
In addition to Matilda, Claudia is a proud mother to sons Jake, 21, and Arthur, 13. Expressing her desire to prioritize family time, Claudia stepped down from her BBC Radio 2 show last year, citing the rapid passage of time and her youngest child’s evolving needs as reasons for her decision.
Last week, Claudia and Tess Daly surprised fans by announcing their joint departure from Strictly Come Dancing after 21 years of involvement with the show.
