“The Traitors: Fiona Unmasked as Secret Traitor?”

Must read

Since the latest season of The Traitors premiered on January 1, speculation has been rife about the identity of the Secret Traitor. Viewers eagerly anticipated the revelation in the upcoming episode on January 8. However, I believe I may have a clue to the Secret Traitor’s identity before the big reveal.

In the previous episode aired on January 3, the mysterious red-cloaked Secret Traitor made a dramatic appearance at the turret, confronting contestants Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby. The question remains: who could this enigmatic figure be?

In my assessment, the Secret Traitor is likely Fiona, and I have reasons to support this theory.

Various speculations have circulated regarding the Secret Traitor’s identity and motives. For instance, Ellie explicitly mentioned the term ‘Secret Traitor’ in her personal reflection.

On the other hand, some suspect that Harriet might be the Secret Traitor following a heated altercation with fellow contestant Hugo.

However, my confidence in Fiona as the Secret Traitor stems from her strategic behavior within the group.

Fiona has adeptly manipulated situations by subtly shifting blame onto others, a tactic not noticed by the rest of the participants. This was evident in the Ross and Ben incident.

While it was deduced that a Traitor must have been present to know about Ben’s remarks regarding Ross, the group failed to consider the possibility of the Secret Traitor’s involvement. Fiona cleverly brought up Ben’s comments the morning after his demise, deflecting attention by claiming forgetfulness and redirecting the discussion to Jessie.

Furthermore, Fiona subtly cast suspicion on Hugo and Rachel, labeling them as Traitors due to perceived changes in behavior. This maneuver allowed her to subtly implicate them without direct accusation.

Interestingly, Fiona deflected blame by insinuating that Amanda prompted her scrutiny of the group’s behaviors. This tactic effectively shifted suspicion away from herself onto Amanda.

During deliberations, Amanda disclosed Fiona’s consultations, suggesting Fiona’s use of others as shields for her actions. This strategy led to Hugo confronting Amanda instead of Fiona, causing doubt among the group.

In the realm of strategic gameplay, the most effective Traitors deflect attention and manipulate others to speak on their behalf, a tactic Fiona seems to have mastered.
