“Apple Launches AppleCare One in UK: Multi-Device Coverage”

Must read

Apple has introduced a new subscription service in the UK called AppleCare One, expanding from its US launch last year. Priced at £16.99 per month, AppleCare One provides coverage for up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In case of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will repair the device or offer up to three replacements annually, depending on the claim type.

This new service enhances the existing AppleCare+ benefits, offering unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support. The key advantage of AppleCare One is the ability for customers to safeguard multiple products under a single subscription, potentially leading to cost savings. Apple estimates that customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 monthly compared to purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans for each device.

Moreover, AppleCare One allows customers to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended timeframe surpasses the typical 60-day window for acquiring AppleCare+ post-device purchase.

Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, emphasized the flexibility and simplicity of AppleCare One, stating that it provides a streamlined approach to AppleCare+ protection. The plan also seamlessly adjusts when upgrading devices, automatically transferring coverage to new purchases made directly from Apple.
