An elderly individual was discovered fatally stabbed in a serene village, prompting a homicide inquiry to be initiated.
Following a report from the ambulance service about a disturbance, Norfolk Police apprehended a 20-year-old suspect at a residence in Bowthorpe, Norfolk, where the 70-year-old victim was found early yesterday morning. The incident took place on Layer Close around 4:45 am. The arrested individual is being held in police custody on suspicion of murder.
The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene. Detective Chief Inspector Kev Barber stated that both the victim and the suspect had prior acquaintance. He mentioned, “Investigators will be striving to uncover the complete sequence of events that unfolded today.”
“It has been established that the individuals involved were familiar with each other, and there is no broader threat to the public. We understand that this news is distressing, and our sympathies go out to the family and acquaintances of the deceased individual.
