Paedophile Jeffrey Epstein expressed support for far-right activist Tommy Robinson and engaged in sharing offensive Holocaust “jokes” through recently disclosed private emails from US lawmakers.
In one message, Epstein congratulated the activist, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, on his release from jail in 2018, stating, “TOMMY ROBINSON. !! good work.” Another email from Epstein mentioned, “Kristallnacht always has the big fire.” The disgraced financier, who was of Jewish descent, went as far as inviting recipients to “Come join us at Auschwitz, opening night, special,” in reference to the 2018 midterm elections where Democrats gained control of the House of Representatives.
The released documents, which initially gained attention for references to Donald Trump and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, revealed a previously unseen aspect of Epstein’s involvement with right-wing movements on both sides of the Atlantic. The emails depicted Epstein’s connections with a wide array of political figures globally, including individuals from the American establishment, European diplomats, academics, and officials from Russia to Saudi Arabia.
Epstein corresponded with prominent figures like Steve Bannon, advising on promoting conservative movements in Europe and suggesting strategies to bolster far-right parties in the European Parliament elections. He emphasized the need for extensive face-to-face interactions to facilitate a right-wing resurgence in Europe.
Furthermore, Epstein positioned himself as a well-connected individual with access to powerful leaders worldwide. He boasted about receiving gifts from Mohammed bin Salman, the current Saudi crown prince, and attempted to act as a mediator with the Kremlin, proposing meetings between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and himself.
As scrutiny intensified in late 2018, Epstein portrayed himself as a victim of a political vendetta aimed at President Trump. Despite his claims, Epstein faced severe legal repercussions and ultimately died in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex-trafficking charges, ruled as a suicide by authorities.
