A 62-year-old woman who works as a beauty teacher was taken into custody for allegedly stabbing and burying her young boyfriend in her garden. The body of Alex Sandro da Silva Rocha, 21, was found in Bebedouro, Sao Paulo, Brazil, with police revealing that he was stabbed in the chest with scissors. Jussara Luzia Fernandes has reportedly admitted to the crime.
Earlier this year, Fernandes became a widow when her husband was found dead in their swimming pool in what was deemed an accidental death. Following her recent confession, the Civil Police will be investigating the case.
During a search of her residence last week, authorities discovered a freshly dug hole in the backyard, prompting suspicions. Despite initially claiming it was for her dog, further investigation led to the grim discovery by the Fire Department.
In her statement to the police, Fernandes revealed that a dispute with her boyfriend escalated, leading her to defend herself with scissors, resulting in his fatal injuries. She allegedly arranged for someone to bury the body and even involved her son in moving it out of the house. Fernandes is now facing charges of homicide and concealing a corpse.
The victim’s mother has come forward, expressing concerns about her son’s abusive relationship with Fernandes. She described the deceased as wanting to end the relationship due to Fernandes’ controlling behavior. The mother also accused Fernandes of deceitfully impersonating her son in phone conversations after his death.
The victim’s mother emphasized that her son had decided to leave Fernandes due to her oppressive nature, citing an incident where Fernandes reportedly ran over his foot with her car during a heated argument.
